How giving together works

  1. Open a pot

    For whom, for which occasion, until when. You design the card: photo, opening line, as a PDF by email or as a printed postcard.

  2. Share the link

    By WhatsApp, email or in the group. Every person opens the link, picks their amount and writes a line for the card.

  3. Every person pays their own share

    Right when they contribute, by card or PayPal. Nobody collects, nobody pays up front, nobody sees what the others gave.

  4. On the day it becomes a gift card

    On closing day everything in the pot becomes one Atento gift card with everyone's greetings. It goes to the recipient at the chosen time, and everyone involved is told.

Good to know

Clear rules, no surprises.

  • At most 150 € per pot, as much as one Atento gift card. No minimum, no target: whatever is in becomes the card.
  • Contributions are paid at once and are not refunded. Once the first contribution is in, the pot runs until closing day.
  • An empty pot is simply dissolved on closing day. Nobody owes anything.
  • The recipient sees the greetings, not the amounts. Contributors see neither the others' amounts nor the card code.
  • For gifts to teachers there are notes and limits depending on the federal state. We show them when you open the pot; the group decides.
  • We cover the fees. The payment provider's receipt is each contributor's receipt.

What else you want to know

Does every contributor need an account?

No. Only the person opening the pot needs an Atento account. Contributing takes a name, an amount and a line for the card, paid right away.

What happens if the pot is still empty on closing day?

It is dissolved without a card and you get a message. Nobody paid anything, nobody loses anything.

Can I close the pot early?

Yes, any time with one click in your account area. The card is created right away and sent at the chosen time.

Does the recipient see who gave how much?

They see the names and lines on the card, no amounts. Contributors do not see each other's amounts either.

What can the recipient do with the card?

Redeem it at local favourites: restaurants, cafés, beauty, wellness, shopping and experiences all over Germany. They pick the place themselves.

Can contributions be refunded?

No. Once a contribution is paid the pot can no longer be cancelled and contributions are not refunded. Everything collected becomes the card.
